How does the USCIS processing time tracker work?
The USCIS Case Tracker checks the official USCIS processing times page daily. USCIS publishes the date through which they are currently processing each form type at each service center. When that published date advances past your receipt date, you receive a free email notification. This is a free alternative to Lawfully ($15/month) with the same core alert functionality.
What is the USCIS processing date and how is it different from case status?
USCIS processing times indicate the date filed on cases currently being adjudicated. An I-485 at NBC showing January 15, 2024 means USCIS is actively working cases received on or before that date. Cases with receipt dates after that have not yet begun processing. The tracker monitors this date daily and alerts you when it reaches your specific receipt date.
